The weather is warming up so it’s time to get outside and enjoy ATL as we get ready for spring. From concerts to St. Patrick’s Day activities to Women’s History Month events, see what Atlanta has planned for March.

Get ready for the madness of March to take over State Farm Arena. There will be two of the Sweet 16 games March 28 and one Elite 8 game March 30. Teams have yet to be announced.
The Atlanta Braves are Back

The season opener for the Atlanta Braves is March 30 vs. the San Diego Padres in San Diego; Home Opener is April 4 vs. the Miami Marlins.
Atlanta Vibe

While you can experience the thrill of an Atlanta Vibe volleyball game throughout March at Gas South Arena in Duluth, the team is coming to the A with matches at Georgia State Convocation Center in Downtown on March 28 and 30.
Time to Run
The Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend will be jam packed with things to do, whether you’re running in the race, volunteering or just coming out to support those on the course.

Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend Expo
Runners can pick up their numbers, but anyone is welcome to shop, visit vendors and get a preview of the upcoming race. This is happening at The Home Depot Backyard on Friday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Publix Atlanta 5K and Publix Atlanta Kids Marathon
The Youth events include a 5k, 3k and 50M dash happening on Saturday, March 1. Children 14 and under can compete in this free event, thanks to Coca-Cola UNITED. The 5k (ages 8 and up) starts at 7:30 a.m., the 3k (ages 7 to 14) starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 50M dash (ages 3 and under) starts at 10 a.m.
Publix Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon, USATF Half Marathon Championships

Cross the Publix Atlanta Marathon or Half Marathon off your bucket list or maybe you’re running it again, either way, the beautiful course takes you all around the city. The race starts at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 2. Cutoff to register is Feb. 28 at 11:59 p.m.
USATF Half Marathon Championships starts at 7:10 a.m. on March 2 where American record holders and Olympians will take on the half marathon. They will be competing for one of six Team USA spots at the World Championships.

Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade dates back to 1858. It was started by the city’s Hibernian Benevolent Society, a Catholic and Protestant fraternal organization. The parade route starts near the Woodruff Arts Center and marches down Peachtree Street ending at 5th Street. Attendees are encouraged to use either the Midtown or Arts Center MARTA stops. The parade kicks off at noon on March 15, rain or shine.
Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade 5K Run/Walk
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the March 15 Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade Run/Walk. The race occurs before one of the country’s oldest St. Patrick’s Parade with the route starting and ending on Peachtree Road. Participants 21 years and older will receive a free beer from Fado’s Irish Pub in Midtown. After crossing the finish line, enjoy the DJ, drinks and snacks before watching the parade.
Midtown St. Patrick’s Block Party
Get ready for a party St. Patrick’s Block Party in Midtown. Wear your best green outfit to enjoy music, food and drinks. There are more than 40 establishments providing deals with a variety of Irish-themed beverages or shots, and Irish-themed food specials. The party is March 14 from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Luck of the Square
Enjoy the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade while hanging out at Colony Square. The parade route goes directly down Peachtree Street on March 15 and will pass by Colony Square. Enjoy the parade from noon to 1:30 p.m. with Luck of the Square kicking off at 1 p.m. There will be live music, festive swag, drinks and more shenanigans.
Let the Fun Begin
Atlanta Jewish Film Festival
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival. Films from countries across the globe will be shown in-person and virtually. Ticket packages are available now for the festival happening Feb. 19-March 16.
Fat Tuesday in Little Five Points
Get ready to celebrate Mardi Gras in Little Five Points on March 4. There will be live music and good vibes. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. at the Little Five Points Community Center with the first stop at 7 p.m. at Elmyr.
British Tea at Millennium Gate Museum

Feel like British royalty while enjoying tea and finger foods in the Millennium Gate Museum. You’ll enjoy tea and goodies from The Ginger Room. Tea is served once a month and March’s theme is St. Patrick’s Day. There are two seating options on March 16, at either noon or 4 p.m.
KIA Campout at the Hall

Families and football fans can spend a night camping in the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, while sleeping right on the 45-yard indoor turf field. There will be a scavenger hunt, the chance to explore interactive exhibits and you’ll get to tour the Hall of Fame. The event will include dinner, a late night snack and breakfast. The campout is happening Saturday, March 15 at 6 p.m.
Don’t Tell Comedy
Don’t Tell Comedy shows happen all around Atlanta, but the catch is you’ll know the neighborhood but not the exact location until the day of. The shows feature a variety of stand-up comedians. Buckhead shows are March 8 at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Inman Park shows are March 14 at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Virginia Highland shows are March 22 at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Pints and Perspectives: A Lecture Series
Happening at Bold Monk Brewing, enjoy conversations with a licensed therapist and social worker discussing the importance of community and friendship. The event is centered around building meaningful connections and fostering well-being in the community. It’s happening Tuesday, March 4 at 7 p.m.
Atlanta Science Festival

Science lovers, unite! From March 8-22, celebrate world-class learning and STEM career opportunities in metro Atlanta during the Atlanta Science Festival. There are more than 100 events for kids and adults to try, including Turtle Quest, Rock N’ Walk and Nature Journaling. The Exploration Expo is set for March 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Piedmont Park. This interactive science event is free and gives attendees the opportunity to control a prosthetic hand with their minds, perform DNA extraction, dig for bones and more.
Toddler Takeover at Alliance Theatre

Toddler Takeover, for children ages birth through 5-years-old, is back. There will be performances of the Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young, art-making at the High Museum of Art, activities with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and more. Get the kids ready for March 16 and 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tour Atlanta Landmarks in Honor of Women’s History Month

Stone Mountain Park Presents Dino Festival
Stone Mountain Park’s Dino Fest returns this year from March 8 through April 20. During the lighted Dino Parade, the streets of Crossroads will come alive with larger-than-life dino-themed floats. The dinosaur-themed drone and light show will feature 250 color-changing drones creating intricate formations and animations featuring favorite dinosaurs
Art in the Park

Woodruff Park in Downtown is bringing new art to the park. The exhibit features engaging and interactive public art installations. The latest exhibit, Stem by Stem, showcases inflatable characters with digital doe-eyes and arms full of fresh flowers. Stop by the park from Feb. 14 through March 14 to see what it’s all about.
